Job Summary

Houston Talented Consultancy is seeking a dedicated and experienced IT Support Specialist to join our remote team. As an IT Support Specialist, you will provide technical assistance to employees and clients via phone, email, and remote desktop tools. This role requires problem-solving skills, technical expertise, and a commitment to delivering exceptional customer service. The ideal candidate will be proactive, responsive, and capable of efficiently resolving IT issues.

Key Responsibilities

Offer first-line support for hardware and software issues across various devices and applications.
Troubleshoot and resolve technical problems through phone, email, or remote desktop tools.
Maintain and update IT systems, ensuring optimal performance and security.
Assist with the installation and configuration of software and hardware solutions.
Collaborate with other departments to understand technical requirements and provide appropriate solutions.
Document and track issues, ensuring detailed records for future reference.
Provide training and guidance to users on both new and existing systems.
Ensure timely follow-up and resolution of support requests within agreed SLAs.
Participate in ongoing training to stay updated on new technologies and best practices.

Required Skills and Qualifications

Strong knowledge of operating systems (Windows, macOS, Linux).
Proficiency in troubleshooting hardware and software issues.
Experience with remote support tools (e.g., TeamViewer, AnyDesk).
Understanding of networking principles, VPNs, and firewalls.
Familiarity with Active Directory, Microsoft Office Suite, and ticketing systems (e.g., ServiceNow, Jira).
Excellent communication skills with the ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical users.
Ability to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
Self-starter with attention to detail and problem-solving capabilities.

Experience

Minimum of 2 years of experience in IT support or a related field.
Previous experience working remotely or in a virtual team environment is preferred.
Proven expertise in troubleshooting hardware, software, and networking issues.

Working Hours

Full-time position with flexible hours.
Availability required between 8 AM and 5 PM (GMT), Monday to Friday.
