Job Overview

As an Attendant/Guest Services professional, you will be responsible for supporting all aspects of the concierge function in accordance with hotel standards. You will manage and guide the concierge team to ensure guests receive personalized and exceptional service. Your role involves assisting in guest interactions, anticipating their needs, and ensuring their experience is memorable and personalized.


Key Responsibilities

  1. Managing Concierge Operations

    • Coordinate daily operations ensuring high-quality standards and customer satisfaction.
    • Develop specific goals and plans to prioritize and execute tasks effectively.
    • Support the concierge team in focusing on key operational areas to drive guest satisfaction and achieve financial outcomes.
    • Maintain a comprehensive database for local attractions and services to enhance guests' experiences.
    • Build and maintain relationships with local businesses, attractions, and restaurants.
  2. Guest Engagement and Services

    • Provide recommendations and coordinate services for guests as requested (e.g., car rentals, train/airline tickets, beauty services, babysitting, repairs, shopping).
    • Ensure guests’ special requests are met, including VIP and repeat guest preferences.
    • Manage guest check-in/check-out services and assist with reservations when required.
    • Stay informed about hotel services, room locations, and facilities.
  3. Cultural Sensitivity and Crisis Management

    • Stay aware of cultural differences and ensure the personalized needs of guests are met.
    • Handle emergencies and provide solutions following appropriate procedures.
    • Ensure knowledge of daily operations, events, guest arrivals, and departures, and any special arrangements or requests.
  4. Team Collaboration and Leadership

    • Foster teamwork and cooperation within the concierge team.
    • Lead by example, demonstrating appropriate behaviors and professional conduct.
    • Ensure team members adhere to hotel policies and procedures, aiming for full guest satisfaction.
  5. Customer Satisfaction and Feedback

    • Assist in ensuring the concierge team delivers exceptional services to improve guest loyalty.
    • Provide guidance and coaching to team members to improve service quality and enhance the guest experience.
    • Address and resolve guest issues or complaints promptly.
    • Collect guest feedback on service levels and product quality to continuously improve operations.
  6. Administrative Duties

    • Communicate essential information to managers and colleagues via phone, email, or face-to-face.
    • Analyze data to identify issues and recommend solutions.
    • Keep management informed of important updates or concerns.
    • Participate in departmental meetings and ensure clear communication of front-of-house goals.

Candidate Profile

  • Education and Experience:

    • High School diploma or GED with 2 years of experience in guest services, front desk, or a related professional area; OR
    • A 2-year degree from an accredited college in Hotel and Restaurant Management, Hospitality, Business Administration, or related major (no prior work experience required).
  • Core Competencies:

    • Strong organizational skills and ability to prioritize tasks.
    • Proactive approach to customer service and guest satisfaction.
    • Knowledge of hotel services, local attractions, and accommodations.
    • Ability to resolve complaints effectively and ensure positive outcomes.
    • Ability to build strong relationships with both guests and team members.
  • Language and Communication:

    • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
    • Fluency in English is essential; proficiency in additional languages is a plus.
