About the Business Line/Function

The Wealth Management - Client Management Operations team at BNP Paribas India Solutions (ISPL) was established in 2019 to provide back-office services for BNP Paribas Wealth Management in Singapore and Hong Kong. The services include:
Client Reference Data & Reporting (Since September 2019)

???? Position Name: Associate Level 1
???? Department: Operations – Management of Clients
???? Business Line: Wealth Management
???? Reports To: Head – Client Onboarding Data Maintenance/Support Team
???? Location: Mumbai


Position Objective

The Client Onboarding Team ensures a smooth and global client onboarding experience while adhering to BNP Paribas’ compliance and operational procedures. The role requires staying updated on regulatory changes and ensuring their proper implementation.


Key Responsibilities

???? Direct Responsibilities

  • Support the bank’s client onboarding process and ensure accuracy of client data.
  • Maintain workflow processes specific to Singapore & Hong Kong (SG/HK) requirements.
  • Ensure proper custody of account documentation and secure handling of client data.
  • Handle audit reviews and respond to regulatory and internal stakeholder requests.
  • Identify issues and escalate them to the right functions/management.

???? Contributing Responsibilities

  • Understand client database management for individuals, corporations, holding companies, and trusts.
  • Ensure timely processing of client data and closure of accounts as required.
  • Link clients to banking service tools (e.g., direct access to advisory desks, dormant/deceased accounts, blocking/unblocking of accounts).
  • Maintain secure storage of client documents (electronic and paper).
  • Assist in responding to internal customer queries regarding client profiles.
  • Prepare management reports (daily/weekly/monthly/quarterly statistics).
  • Ensure prompt static data inputs for client records.
  • Handle client data with confidentiality and in accordance with privacy policies.
  • Provide regional support for Singapore & Hong Kong, including adapting to their time zones and public holidays.
  • Work in a team-oriented environment, resolving complex cases efficiently.
  • Support cross-functional operations and be adaptable to organizational changes.
  • Train and onboard new team members as needed.
  • Follow operational risk procedures and escalate incidents to management.
  • Implement and update process controls and procedures.
  • Communicate regularly with internal teams including Compliance, Legal, Front Office, Client Onboarding & Due Diligence Teams in Singapore/Hong Kong.
