Position Summary

The Manager, Risk Intelligence is responsible for overseeing data management, financial reporting, financial controls, and analytics related to unemployment and workers' compensation claims. This role supports corporate safety functions while ensuring compliance with financial integrity and regulatory standards. The position also involves managing the Origami risk management information system and collaborating with internal and external stakeholders to enhance reporting and analytics capabilities.

Key Responsibilities

???? Financial Management & Analytics (25%)

✔ Forecast unemployment expenditures and tax rates across states
✔ Analyze financial impact of tax planning strategies and advise senior management
✔ Apply knowledge of state and federal regulations to customer-specific situations

???? Financial Reporting & Compliance (20%)

✔ Oversee financial reporting, controls, and Sarbanes-Oxley compliance
✔ Coordinate quarterly workers’ compensation actuarial analyses
✔ Manage claim data and audits to ensure financial integrity

???? Risk Management System Administration (25%)

✔ Manage and maintain Origami risk management information system
✔ Act as the technical subject matter expert for internal users
✔ Oversee the vendor relationship and ensure system efficiency

???? Reporting & Data Analytics (15%)

✔ Develop and enhance internal reporting frameworks
✔ Oversee WC and UC chargeback programs and assess performance
✔ Provide leadership insights and customer-specific analyses

???? Corporate Safety & Risk Intelligence (10%)

✔ Expand and standardize data analytics for corporate safety functions
✔ Design reports that address key business needs and customer concerns

Qualifications & Requirements

???? Education:
✔ Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Business, or a related field

???? Experience:
✔ 8+ years of experience in financial management, forecasting, financial controls, accounting, or information systems
✔ 2+ years in a managerial role

???? Skills & Competencies:
✔ Leadership & problem-solving abilities
✔ Strong expertise in data analysis, forecasting, and financial controls
✔ Proficiency in Excel and financial software
✔ Effective communication & collaboration with stakeholders
✔ Unemployment or workers' compensation experience is a plus
