What You’ll Do

As the US GAAP Technical Accounting Manager, you will play a critical role in the Controllership team, reporting directly to the Head of SEC Reporting and Technical Accounting. This role will require close collaboration with cross-functional departments and external auditors to ensure compliance with US GAAP and support various corporate accounting initiatives.

Key Responsibilities:

Act as the company's technical accounting expert, ensuring full compliance with US GAAP and SEC reporting requirements.
Evaluate complex transactions and offer technical accounting guidance and disclosure recommendations.
Partner with Accounting, Tax, Treasury, FP&A, and Audit teams to support cross-functional initiatives.
Research and document accounting positions through technical memoranda.
Monitor and interpret new FASB and SEC pronouncements and assess their impact on the business.
Develop training programs and materials to update finance teams on technical accounting policies and regulations.
Manage accounting areas including:
- Leases
- Stock compensation
- Pensions
- Derivatives
- Goodwill and other intangibles
- Business combinations and other corporate-level transactions
Maintain internal controls over financial reporting (ICFR) to ensure data integrity.
Coordinate with internal/external auditors to meet audit requirements.
Serve as a key point of contact for technical accounting inquiries.
Handle ad-hoc projects and tasks related to US GAAP and SEC compliance.

What We’re Looking For

Qualifications & Experience:

Chartered Accountant (CA), Certified Public Accountant (CPA), or equivalent qualification.
5–8 years of relevant experience in public accounting or industry, with a focus on technical accounting.
Strong understanding of US GAAP, financial reporting, and regulatory compliance.
Prior experience in a SOX-compliant, public company environment is preferred.
