Job Title: Technical Account Manager – Telco (Red Hat OpenStack & OpenShift)

Job Type: Full-Time
Location: Delhi, India


About the Role:

Red Hat’s Services team is looking for an experienced Support Engineer or Systems Administrator with 6–10 years of experience to join as a Technical Account Manager (TAM). This role will support Telco customers, providing proactive, personalized engagement across Red Hat OpenStack Platform (RHOSP) and Red Hat OpenShift Container Platform (RHOCP).

As a TAM, you will cultivate strong customer relationships, provide strategic technical guidance, and serve as a trusted advisor throughout the customer lifecycle. You’ll collaborate with Engineering, Product Management, Support, and Sales teams to solve complex technical issues and help customers succeed.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform technical reviews and share knowledge to proactively prevent issues.

  • Understand customer infrastructures, hardware setups, and business processes.

  • Respond to technical queries via phone or online, and assist with debugging issues.

  • Deliver Red Hat product updates and guide customers through upgrades.

  • Maintain detailed case documentation and manage customer issues.

  • Create and maintain customer engagement plans and environment documentation.

  • Ensure high customer satisfaction and successful adoption of Red Hat solutions.

  • Collaborate with field teams and customers to ensure a positive experience with Red Hat platforms.

  • Communicate product capabilities and roadmap alignment with customer use cases.

  • Work with Red Hat Engineering to provide feedback from field engagements and influence future product improvements.

  • Contribute to internal initiatives, mentor team members, and serve as a subject matter expert (SME).

  • Travel to customer sites, conferences, or partner events as needed.


Qualifications & Skills:

Required:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical field.

  • 6–10 years of experience in support, systems administration, or engineering.

  • Strong experience with Red Hat OpenStack Platform (RHOSP):

    • Proven system administration and troubleshooting expertise.

  • Strong experience with Red Hat OpenShift (RHOCP) or Kubernetes:

    • Understanding of RHOCP architecture and installation types.

    • Experience with troubleshooting, log analysis, and data collection.

  • Familiarity with Prometheus and Grafana (monitoring tools).

  • Excellent communication and relationship management skills.

  • Strong English reading and writing skills.

Preferred:

  • Experience administering OpenShift v4.x.

  • Hands-on with upstream open-source projects.

  • Experience in quality assurance or customer-facing engineering roles.
