Role Description

As a Sr. Consultant, MuleSoft Architect at Hakkoda, you will be a trusted advisor, architecting and implementing enterprise integration solutions using MuleSoft. You will lead the design and development of APIs, RESTful and SOAP-based web services, and enterprise messaging solutions. Your focus will be on ensuring seamless, scalable, secure, and high-performing integrations across systems.

You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to translate business needs into cutting-edge integration solutions and guide organizations through complex API strategies. Your expertise in RAML, JSON, XML, and data transformation will be crucial to delivering smooth and efficient integrations. Additionally, you will coach junior developers and enforce best practices.

Key Responsibilities

Design & Development:
- Lead the design, development, and implementation of MuleSoft API solutions for enterprise integration.
- Develop and manage enterprise services using RAML, REST APIs, SOAP web services, and MuleSoft connectors (e.g., File, HTTP, SAP, CXF).
- Perform data transformations and implement message routing with MuleSoft ESB.
- Develop and optimize RESTful and SOAP-based web services for third-party system integrations.
Messaging & Data Integration:
- Work with JMS Messaging (e.g., Apache MQ, HornetQ) for asynchronous processing.
- Utilize XML, XSD, and JSON for data validation and transformation.
Collaboration & Coaching:
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand business requirements and translate them into technical solutions.
- Provide technical guidance to junior developers and ensure adherence to best practices.
- Troubleshoot complex integration issues and manage customer expectations.
Performance & Security:
- Ensure integrations are scalable, secure, and perform efficiently.
- Conduct code reviews and enforce best practices in integration development.

Qualifications

Experience:
- 7+ years of experience in MuleSoft ESB, SOA, API development, and Java-based backend integration.
- Certified in MuleSoft 4.x and/or MuleSoft 3.9.
- Expertise in REST/SOAP Web Services, API Management, and API Gateways.
- Strong hands-on experience with RAML, Mule connectors (e.g., SAP, HTTP, File), and Anypoint Studio.
- Proficiency in Postman, SOAPUI, Maven, and other API testing/debugging tools.
- Experience with JMS messaging and integration patterns.
- Solid understanding of SQL/PLSQL and database integration concepts.
Desirable Skills:
- Experience integrating SAP, Oracle, or other enterprise applications.
- Familiarity with Python is a plus.
- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently.
