About the Team:

The Workday Success Plans Team focuses on helping customers maximize the value of their Workday applications after go-live. The team delivers various programs and services ranging from feature demonstrations to full feature deployments, ensuring that customers drive business value and adopt best practices using Workday’s solutions.


About the Role:

As a Customer Consultant on the Workday Success Plans team, you will serve as a trusted advisor to customers. Your role involves providing targeted micro-consulting engagements, troubleshooting product configurations, delivering demonstrations, and guiding customers through configuration processes. This is an excellent opportunity to learn and grow in a fast-paced environment, while directly contributing to customer success.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Consulting & Customer Support:

    • Conduct research to understand customer questions and relate them to Workday concepts.

    • Provide small scope consulting, including configuration guidance, demonstrations, and tips & tricks.

    • Troubleshoot product configurations to optimize the Workday setup for customers’ business needs.

    • Effectively communicate responses and provide value to customers.

    • Deliver customer presentations to highlight how Workday features can achieve business goals (e.g., Accelerator Webinars, Feature Accelerator).

  • Feature Adoption & Engagement:

    • Perform tenant reviews to identify opportunities for feature adoption.

    • Provide one-on-one consulting to accelerate customer feature adoption and guide clients in using Workday’s features.

  • Program Development & Industry Knowledge:

    • Contribute to the creation of new programs aimed at driving customer feature adoption.

    • Stay up to date with industry practices and trends, and engage with customers to discuss relevant topics.

  • Customer Enablement Services:

    • Lead office hours for appointment-based consulting engagements and provide product expertise.

    • Conduct business requirement reviews and deliver configuration recommendations.

    • Assist in full deployments of Workday features.

  • Other Duties:

    • Complete and maintain Workday certifications and familiarity with the Workday roadmap.

    • Travel up to 10% as needed.


Basic Qualifications:

  • 5+ years of functional experience in Workday Payroll, Absence, or Time-Tracking modules.

  • 5+ years of IT implementation experience.

  • 2+ years of software consulting experience.


Other Qualifications:

  • Workday Certification in HCM and at least one of the following: Time-Tracking, Absence, or Payroll is ideal.

  • Ability to quickly understand new Workday features and concepts as they are released.

  • Strong communication skills to simplify and present complex concepts to customers.

  • Strong multitasking ability to handle multiple engagements simultaneously.

  • Excellent critical thinking skills to understand complex technical issues and support decision-making.

  • Bachelor’s degree or relevant work experience; advanced degree preferred.

  • Fluent in English with excellent verbal and written communication skills.
