Join Morrison Low to make a difference and help communities flourish. We are seeking a Management Consultant with experience in local government, consultancy, or corporate finance. The role involves delivering high-quality financial consulting to support long-term strategic goals, with a focus on financial planning, sustainability assessments, pricing determinations, and more.
Your responsibilities will include:
Long-term financial planning and sustainability assessments for local governments
Business case development and capital expenditure reviews
Financial assessments for service and operational reviews
Special rate variation and pricing determination applications
Reviewing financial plans for services such as waste, water, and developer contributions
To succeed in this role, you will:
Have a relevant degree and approximately 7+ years of experience in public sector or consultancy roles
Possess excellent financial literacy and related qualifications
Demonstrate strong problem-solving skills and the ability to deliver solutions that add value to clients
Be comfortable working independently and managing multiple projects with competing deadlines
Have superior written and verbal communication skills, with experience delivering engaging content tailored to different audiences
Build strong working relationships with stakeholders and confidently present ideas to clients
Have the flexibility to travel when required
Enjoy continuous learning and be eager to grow in your career
Experience: Proven experience working in the public sector or consultancy environment
Financial Literacy: Strong understanding of financial strategy and business knowledge
Communication: Ability to create clear, compelling written content and present ideas to clients
Client Relations: A strong client service focus, with an ability to become a trusted advisor
Self-Management: Efficiently juggle competing demands and meet deadlines
Networking: Enjoy building relationships with new people and clients
