About the Role

The Senior Associate – Real Assets will be responsible for maintaining client books, posting journal entries, and preparing & presenting financial statements. This role requires maintaining books at the asset, investment, and portfolio level, ensuring compliance with accounting standards.

Key Responsibilities

???? Accounting & Financial Statements
✔ Maintain client books and post journal entries.
✔ Prepare and review Profit & Loss accounts, Balance Sheets, and Cash Flow statements.
✔ Prepare and reconcile cash books with bank statements daily.
✔ Track property review accounting, including Net Assets, Operating Income, Depreciation checks, and Rent calculations.
✔ Review and update fixed asset schedules & accumulated depreciation.
✔ Prepare and review Deferred Revenue Cost schedules & accounting.

???? Fund & Investment Accounting
✔ Maintain books & records, and calculate Fund Net Asset Values (NAVs).
✔ Prepare and review schedule of Equity Capital, Subscription, and Redemption.
✔ Identify GAAP to NAV differences and provide explanations.
✔ Prepare variance analysis and provide comments.
✔ Maintain venture capital books and profit distribution records.
✔ Prepare and review Debt Valuation schedules and asset revaluation accounting.

???? Reporting & Compliance
✔ Assist in audit queries and regulatory compliance.
✔ Prepare and review Non-Controlling Interest schedules.
✔ Coordinate processing of payments and transactions with thorough review.
✔ Ensure compliance with IFRS and US GAAP accounting standards.
✔ Train and mentor new joiners in accounting processes.

Qualifications & Skills

???? Education:
✔ Graduate/Master’s Degree in Accounting, Finance, or a professional qualification (CA, CWA, CA Inter, CWA Inter, or equivalent).

???? Experience & Knowledge:
✔ 7–8 years of experience in financial services accounting (Private Equity, Asset Management, or Fund Administration).
✔ Strong knowledge of IFRS and/or US GAAP.
✔ Experience in preparing general ledgers & financial statements.
✔ Private Equity/Real Estate fund experience, including complex fund structures, waterfall computation, and preferred returns.
✔ Ability to identify accounting discrepancies and recommend solutions.

???? Technical Skills:
✔ Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and accounting software.
✔ Working knowledge of Investran/Oracle (preferred).
✔ Strong communication skills in English (verbal & written).
