Job Title: Senior Executive – Logistics

Job Summary:

The Senior Executive – Logistics will be responsible for the end-to-end management of logistics, distribution, and export/import operations of finished pharmaceutical goods. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in pharmaceutical logistics, especially in handling temperature-sensitive goods, regulatory compliance, and international freight forwarding.

Key Responsibilities:

Logistics Management: Oversee the receipt, storage, and dispatch of finished goods. Monitor inventory levels and prepare MIS reports.
Warehouse Operations: Ensure warehouse operations follow GMP and GDP standards. Collaborate with production teams for timely transfer of goods.
Dispatch Planning: Plan dispatches based on customer orders and production schedules. Ensure temperature-controlled shipments using Reefer containers and Envirotainers.
Cold Chain Logistics: Track logistics using data loggers to maintain temperature control. Ensure deliveries meet OTIF (On Time In Full) targets.
Customs & Export/Import: Coordinate with SEZ teams, customs, and freight partners for export/import clearance. Verify shipping documents such as Invoice, COA, MSDS, AWB, and BL.
Compliance: Ensure adherence to SEZ rules, DGFT guidelines, and global standards (USFDA, WHO-GDP, EU-GMP, IATA CEIV).
Cross-Department Coordination: Collaborate with QA, Regulatory, Customer Service, and other departments to ensure the accuracy of customs, SEZ, and trucking documents. Manage DGFT and Advance License requirements.
Performance Reporting: Generate MIS reports on inventory, dispatches, exports, and logistics costs. Analyze performance using KPIs such as lead time, on-time dispatch, and temperature control. Take corrective actions when needed.
External Coordination: Coordinate with freight forwarders, customs agents, 3PLs, and shipping lines. Act as a communication point between the warehouse, manufacturing, logistics, and sales teams.
Customer Communication: Handle customer updates and issue resolutions in the logistics and supply chain processes.

Key Skills Required:

Strong Verbal and Written Communication skills
Expertise in Logistics & Supply Chain Management (Pharma)
Experience in Freight Forwarding (International & Domestic)
Proficiency in Warehouse & Inventory Control
Strong Customer Service and Cross-functional Coordination skills
Excellent Documentation and MIS Reporting abilities

Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree in Pharmacy, Business Administration, Supply Chain, or a related field (MBA preferred).
7-8 years of relevant experience in sourcing, procurement, supply chain, or logistics, specifically in pharmaceutical finished goods.
Strong knowledge of pharmaceutical regulations and quality standards.
Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
Strong leadership and team management abilities.
Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
