Freight Forwarding Specialist

???? Location: Mumbai, Maharashtra
???? Salary: From ₹15,00,000 per year
⏳ Job Type: Full-time

Key Responsibilities

✅ Client Communication:

Engage with clients/customers regarding cargo shipments via land, air, and sea freight.
Act as the first point of contact, handling queries via telephone and email.

✅ Shipment Monitoring & Issue Resolution:

Monitor shipments daily and address issues such as lost shipments, SOB status, shipment status, container loading, and positioning.
Ensure timely resolution of logistical challenges.

✅ Quoting & Rate Procurement:

Respond to quote requests within 24 hours of receipt.
Liaise with major shipping lines and airlines to secure the best rates for customers.

✅ Sourcing & Trade Lane Development:

Develop and demonstrate a detailed insight into the supply market.
Co-lead procurement and sourcing initiatives for assigned trade lanes.

✅ Business Coordination & Documentation:

Work closely with sales teams and relevant departments to drive business growth.
Ensure compliance with all documentation procedures, from securing S/I to the final handover of B/L.

Requirements

???? Experience:
▪ 8+ years in Freight Forwarding / BVOC (Required)

???? Skills Required:
✔ Strong organizational and problem-solving abilities
✔ Experience in quoting, customer service, and logistics coordination
✔ Ability to handle stress and multitask effectively
✔ Excellent English communication skills (Mandatory)
