About the Role

As a Customer Service Consultant, you will be a crucial part of the Telstra contact center team, offering real-time chat, asynchronous messaging, and phone call support. Your role involves assisting customers with:

✔️ Non-technical product and billing inquiries
✔️ Order recording and processing
✔️ Sales, complaints, and fault resolution

Your strong knowledge of Telstra's products and services will ensure a high-quality and cost-effective customer experience.


Key Responsibilities

???? Customer Support & Issue Resolution

  • Assist customers via real-time chat, SMS, email, and phone calls.
  • Resolve billing, account management, sales/modifications, service issues, and complaints.
  • Provide product guidance and help customers resolve issues effectively.

???? Process & Workflow Management

  • Accurately process customer requests using guidance tools, scripts, and internal CRM systems.
  • Follow documented work instructions and service standards.
  • Escalate complex issues to the appropriate team when necessary.

???? Sales & Upselling

  • Assess customer needs and recommend alternative products/services.
  • Cross-sell and up-sell in accordance with company goals.

???? Cultural & Team Collaboration

  • Work effectively with diverse teams and customers.
  • Support customers 24/7 in a rotational shift schedule.

Required Skills & Experience

✔️ 1-2 years of customer service experience
✔️ Active listening & analytical thinking
✔️ Strong business writing & communication skills
✔️ Problem-solving & negotiation abilities
✔️ Experience with CRM tools such as Siebel, Salesforce, TAM, Maxim, MDUM
✔️ Process optimization & workflow management skills
