???? Job Description: Non-Voice/Chat Customer Service Consultant

As a Non-Voice/Chat Customer Service Consultant, you will be part of Telstra’s contact center team, assisting customers via real-time chat, asynchronous messaging, SMS, and voice channels. Your role will focus on providing excellent customer service, addressing a variety of product and service inquiries, handling billing and account management, and offering sales support as needed.

You’ll be based in our Innovation and Capability Centre in Embassy Tech Village, Bengaluru, where you will have the opportunity to make a significant impact while supporting customers across different communication channels.


???? Key Responsibilities

  • Provide comprehensive customer service across multiple channels (chat, SMS, email, voice) to address sales inquiries, service requests, fault management, and customer complaints.
  • Process customer requests accurately and efficiently in line with Telstra's service standards and guidelines.
  • Assist customers in understanding and resolving issues related to Telstra products and services through various communication channels.
  • Respond to customer inquiries about billing, account management, orders, and complaints using predefined tools, CRM systems, and knowledge bases.
  • Promote and recommend Telstra products and services to customers, assessing their needs and meeting sales goals through cross-selling and upselling.
  • Ensure high levels of customer satisfaction by adhering to performance standards and meeting customer service goals.
  • Adapt to working with a diverse team and customers, maintaining cultural sensitivity in all interactions.
  • Follow a rotating work schedule, supporting customers 24/7, with some future flexibility to work from home.

???? Requirements

  • Experience: 1-2 years of experience in customer service or related roles.
  • Skills:
    • Strong listening and problem-solving abilities.
    • Excellent writing skills for business communication.
    • Ability to collaborate effectively and work as part of a team.
    • Attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
    • Experience with CRM systems (Salesforce, Siebel, etc.) and other customer service tools.
    • Strong logic-based thinking and ability to handle a variety of customer inquiries.
    • Ability to work under pressure and meet performance targets.
