The Line Maintenance Coordinator is responsible for coordinating airline maintenance activities, ensuring efficient task execution, troubleshooting, and timely aircraft availability. This role involves working closely with airline customers and internal teams to handle dynamic operational challenges.
✔ Maintenance Planning & Coordination
Oversee Cathay’s home base line maintenance operations in Hong Kong.
Manage and control aircraft maintenance execution in coordination with airline customers.
Re-prioritize tasks based on airline requirements, ensuring smooth operational execution.
✔ Operational Decision-Making
Analyze and adapt to dynamic maintenance changes.
Review task deferral requests, assess operational impact, and determine appropriate actions.
Forecast and plan aircraft maintenance inputs for aircraft switches, AOGs, and critical paths.
✔ Aircraft Defect Handling & Troubleshooting
Monitor and respond to incoming defects while ensuring timely troubleshooting.
Direct AOG (Aircraft on Ground) recoveries to maintain aircraft availability.
Collaborate with airline customers and internal teams to optimize on-time performance.
✔ Safety, Quality & Leadership
Lead teams to uphold safety and quality standards.
Drive improvements in service delivery and operational efficiency.
Work across diverse teams to ensure seamless aircraft maintenance operations.
✔ Technical Expertise:
Minimum 8 years of maintenance experience related to B1/B2 on A330, A350, 777, 747-400, 747-800.
Strong background in airline maintenance operations, capable of adapting to fast-paced changes.
Experience in commercial airline maintenance control (preferred).
✔ Certifications & Education:
University degree in any discipline.
Valid EASA / HKAR-66 B1/B2 License with appropriate Airbus/Boeing type ratings.
✔ Soft Skills:
Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
Ability to build relationships and collaborate across diverse teams.
