Job Summary

As a Senior Business Analyst (SME) at CAE, you will be responsible for supporting the AirCenter Operations Control team. This includes participating in the implementation and delivery of Operations Control solutions such as Movement Manager and Recovery Manager Ops. You will also be involved in customer visits, complex discussions, and resolving issues during solution adoption. Your role will span across various customer-facing projects, both at the implementation and post-production phases.


Key Responsibilities

  • Customer Engagement:

    • Lead complex customer discussions and serve as the primary SME on implementation, upgrades, and customer projects.

    • Act as a Subject Matter Expert (SME) and provide training to airline analysts on tools and processes.

    • Collaborate with project managers, account managers, and development teams to meet customer expectations.

  • Solution Implementation:

    • Lead the data gathering and loading process prior to solution implementation.

    • Perform data validation checks at each stage of the solution implementation.

    • Ensure the installation of specific solutions and their integration with other internal and third-party systems.

    • Manage the validation procedure for solution setup, varying between technical and business SME requirements.

  • Process Evaluation & Improvement:

    • Evaluate business processes, anticipate requirements, and recommend areas for improvement.

    • Collaborate with Solution Management teams to communicate best practices observed during customer interactions.

  • Business or Technical SME:

    • As a Business SME, guide customers on the best business practices, provide training on the full solution, and ensure all features and functionalities are well understood.

    • Have a deep understanding of aviation operations, ideally with dispatcher experience or over 5+ years of experience supporting airline operations.


Preferred Experience & Skills

  • Aviation Experience:

    • Ideally, candidates should have dispatcher experience or at least 5 years of providing Level 1 or Level 2 support in airline operations.

    • Experience with CAE AirCenter solutions is a plus but not mandatory.

  • Customer-Facing Expertise:

    • Strong customer-facing experience with excellent communication skills to effectively address client needs.

    • Ability to quickly understand and analyze complex problems and troubleshoot effectively.

  • Business SME Knowledge:

    • Senior-level Business Subject Matter Experts (BSME) should be comfortable leading customer-facing implementation projects independently, managing CR implementations and upgrades.

  • Licensing and Qualifications:

    • Typically, a license related to the specific business area is required, especially in the Ops Control area (e.g., dispatcher license).

    • Previous licensing or operational experience in the role is highly valued.
