As a Learning Designer, you will play a pivotal role in creating engaging and impactful learning experiences as part of Alchemy’s suite of products and services. You will collaborate with subject matter experts (SMEs) and faculty members to design, develop, and deliver effective online and blended courses, ensuring the highest standards of instructional design and learner engagement.

Key Responsibilities

✅ Course Design & Development:

Collaborate with SMEs and faculty to design online and blended courses aligned with learning outcomes and best practices.
Apply instructional design principles to create engaging, interactive learning experiences with multimedia elements and assessments.

✅ Needs Assessment & Quality Assurance:

Conduct needs assessments and analyze course materials for gaps and improvement opportunities.
Ensure designs comply with quality assurance frameworks (e.g., QM, OSCQR, QLT).

✅ Faculty Support & Collaboration:

Guide faculty on instructional strategies and educational technologies to enhance learning.
Assist in developing instructional narratives and storyboards for multimedia projects.

✅ Technology Integration:

Select and integrate educational technologies, LMS, and multimedia tools for effective course delivery.

✅ Evaluation & Continuous Improvement:

Conduct ongoing evaluations of courses, gather feedback, and implement necessary revisions.
Stay updated on emerging trends in instructional design and educational technology to continuously enhance course effectiveness.

✅ Team Collaboration:

Work closely with a multidisciplinary team of instructional designers, multimedia specialists, and project managers.
Foster a collaborative and supportive environment that encourages creativity and innovation.

Qualifications & Experience

We are seeking candidates who are:

✅ Passionate about Education: Committed to inclusive, impactful learning experiences.
✅ Experienced in Learning Design: Minimum 3+ years of instructional design experience in higher education.
✅ Well-Versed in Instructional Design Models: Strong understanding of learning theories, UDL principles, and educational technology.
✅ Proficient in LMS & Tools: Skilled in using learning management systems and multimedia authoring platforms.
✅ Excellent Communicators: Able to build strong relationships with faculty, staff, and cross-functional teams.
✅ Project Management Savvy: Skilled in managing multiple projects and delivering within deadlines.
✅ Culturally Competent: Experience working with diverse, multicultural teams across various geographies.

Preferred Skills

Experience as a college/university instructor.
Familiarity with Universal Design for Learning (UDL) and accessibility in instructional materials.
Ability to work independently while thriving in a collaborative team environment.
