The International Business Development Manager will focus on identifying and developing new business opportunities in international markets for finished pharmaceutical products. The role requires a strong understanding of the pharmaceutical industry, analytical skills, and the ability to manage relationships with international clients and partners.
Market Strategy & Expansion:
Lead and implement business strategies to expand the market presence in LATAM countries (e.g., Brazil, Mexico, Argentina, Colombia).
Analyze trends, regulatory requirements, and competitive positioning to develop market entry strategies.
Client Relationship Management:
Build and manage relationships with international clients, distributors, agents, and regulatory consultants.
Support client onboarding, product registration, and licensing efforts in LATAM markets.
Negotiate contracts, pricing, and commercial terms in line with company goals.
Business Development & Sales Monitoring:
Identify, evaluate, and convert new business opportunities for finished pharmaceutical formulations.
Monitor sales performance and prepare business proposals, reporting progress to leadership with action plans for improvement.
Achieve revenue, margin, and profitability targets for the region.
Regulatory Compliance & Coordination:
Ensure business activities comply with regional pharmaceutical regulations (ANVISA, COFEPRIS, INVIMA).
Collaborate with Regulatory Affairs for product registration support and documentation.
Cross-functional Collaboration:
Work with Sales, Supply Chain, Regulatory, QA, Finance, and Legal to ensure smooth execution of commercial agreements and supply commitments.
Coordinate product launches and supply planning with internal and external stakeholders.
Market Research & Brand Promotion:
Conduct market studies and competitor benchmarking to anticipate industry shifts and emerging opportunities.
Represent the company at key industry events, exhibitions, and conferences in the LATAM region.
Promote the product portfolio and strengthen brand presence in assigned territories.
Bachelor’s degree in Pharmacy, Business Administration, International Business, or a related field.
Minimum of 2-4 years of experience in international business development within the pharmaceutical industry, specifically with finished goods.
Basic knowledge of international pharmaceutical markets, regulations, and quality standards.
Experience managing international sales and business development activities.
Strong market research, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
Excellent negotiation, communication, and interpersonal skills.
Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, multicultural environment.
Proficiency in business development software and tools.
Willingness to travel internationally as required.
