What Are We Looking For?

We are seeking a strategic and experienced Director of Customer Marketing to scale our customer engagement efforts across our headless CMS and digital experience products. You will shape how enterprise customers interact with our brand, products, and community—transforming them into a thriving ecosystem of brand advocates, digital innovators, and business growth drivers.

As a key leader within our integrated marketing team, you will:

  • Build a deep understanding of our customers’ stories, use cases, and challenges.
  • Develop and execute marketing programs that drive engagement, advocacy, retention, and expansion revenue.
  • Leverage your expertise in customer storytelling, relationship-building, and community engagement.
  • Collaborate with world-class campaign, product marketing, and growth teams to create impactful customer programs.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Define and execute the strategic vision for customer marketing.
  • Develop and refine our tone of voice for customer communications.
  • Unify customers from recent acquisitions into one cohesive community and experience.
  • Lead customer speaker programs by providing coaching, storytelling strategies, and presentation support.
  • Elevate our flagship customer events by curating and showcasing the best customer success stories.
  • Build and nurture executive relationships with key customer advocates.
  • Own customer marketing channels (email, web, forums, webinars, etc.).
  • Create a data-driven approach to tracking, predicting, and scaling customer advocacy.
  • Design and execute high-impact in-person event programs, including Customer Advisory Boards, user groups, and VIP events.
  • Empower the customer success team with best practices content, benchmarking programs, and KPIs.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with lifecycle marketing, customer success, sales, and marketing ops to refine campaign strategies, audience targeting, messaging, and follow-up processes.
  • Contribute to expansion playbooks for cross-sell and upsell initiatives.
  • Work with Developer Relations & Technical Audience Marketing to strengthen our developer community engagement.
  • Travel may be required.

What Makes You a Great Fit?

  • Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Advertising, Media Studies, or a related field.
  • 6-10 years of experience leading high-impact customer marketing programs with a data-driven approach.
  • Proven expertise in building customer advocacy strategies and delivering measurable growth results.
  • Strong ability to derive customer insights and translate them into marketing strategies.
  • Skilled in customer storytelling beyond traditional case studies.
  • Experience fostering long-term customer relationships and turning them into brand advocates.
  • Exceptional team leadership skills with the ability to drive visionary strategies in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong collaboration and communication skills.
  • Preferred experience in Product-Led Growth (PLG) strategies.
  • Bonus points for experience with CMS, Customer Data Platforms (CDP), or Personalization software.
  • Travel may be required.

Compensation & Benefits:

???? Base Salary: $120,000 - $135,000 (based on experience and skills).
