About the Role

We are seeking a Senior Data Research Analyst to join the Credit Operations Mumbai Analytics team. This role is critical in maintaining ratings and origination data, requiring data gathering, interpretation, research, and analysis. The analyst will work closely with technology teams to develop and test new data requirements when necessary.

Key Responsibilities

✔ Data Collection & Organization: Gather and structure security-level data from multiple sources.
✔ Data Mapping: Map CUSIP and ISIN identifiers to corresponding Morningstar DBRS ratings.
✔ Report Maintenance: Monitor, troubleshoot, and manage scheduled and automated reports.
✔ Inquiry Handling: Address data-related requests from both internal and external stakeholders.
✔ Quality Assurance: Collaborate with the global team to maintain accuracy and reliability in the security ratings database.
✔ Regulatory Compliance: Work closely with rating analysts to ensure adherence to compliance and regulatory standards.

Required Qualifications & Skills

???? Education: Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Economics, Finance, or Management Studies.
???? Experience: 3-4 years in financial data analysis (experience in a rating agency is a plus).
???? Technical Proficiency:
• Experience with SQL (MS SQL Server) and database management.
• Ability to work with large datasets and analytical tools.
???? Attention to Detail: Strong data accuracy and troubleshooting skills.
???? Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
???? Self-Starter: Highly motivated with a strong work ethic and positive attitude.
⏳ Time Management: Ability to multitask and meet deadlines efficiently.

Recommended Skills

✔ Experience with Bloomberg and/or Thomson Reuters terminals.
✔ Knowledge of fixed income and capital markets.
✔ Experience with Python for data analysis.
