About the Role

The U.S. Consumer Services Team is responsible for managing a suite of consumer products, services, and experiences in the U.S., including:

  • Premium, cobrand, cashback, and lending portfolios
  • Membership Rewards, Global Travel & Lifestyle Services, and the Centurion Lounge network
  • Global Dining, Resy businesses, and U.S. Consumer Banking
  • Best-in-class marketing programs across customer, prospect, and partner channels

The US Consumer Services Control Management Issues, Events & Remediation Team ensures the timely identification, response, and resolution of risk events and issues while working to prevent recurrence through effective remediation and lesson learning.

We are looking for a Sr. Analyst – Issues, Events & Remediation to ensure control management is embedded in our day-to-day operations. The role involves extensive collaboration across multiple business units, functional areas, and geographies.


Key Responsibilities

???? Risk & Issue Management

  • Conduct investigations and root cause analysis to address recurring issue types.
  • Perform quality assurance on documentation related to issue type, urgency, and severity/impact.
  • Identify trends in issues and events to detect systemic risks or control weaknesses.

???? Remediation & Resolution

  • Support the tracking, validation, and communication of remediation efforts.
  • Perform sample testing of specific issues to ensure effective resolution.
  • Maintain accurate documentation and records for transparency and accountability.
  • Assist in the end-to-end issue resolution process within the business unit (BU).

???? Data Analysis & Reporting

  • Analyze data to prepare detailed reports on issue status, trends, and outcomes.
  • Support the sharing of insights, best practices, and key themes across the enterprise.

Required Qualifications

Education & Background

  • 2+ years of experience in operational risk management, internal audit, or a related field.
  • Understanding of critical risk management activities within an organization.

Technical & Analytical Skills

  • Experience in process governance aligned with policies, regulatory frameworks, and operational standards.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret data trends and risk scenarios.

Soft Skills & Leadership

  • Strong project management, communication, and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to collaborate across multiple teams and business functions.

Preferred Qualifications

???? Bachelor’s Degree in Finance, Business, Risk Management, or a related field (MBA or advanced certifications are a plus).
???? Experience in operational risk issue resolution, including:

  • Scoping, prioritizing, and supporting remediation efforts.
  • Investigating and conducting root cause analysis for operational risk issues.
  • Performing quality assurance on risk-related documentation.
  • Recommending and supporting remediation processes for risk-related events.
