Job Overview

The Senior Advisor – Work Needs Vehicle (WNV) will be the key point of contact for managing a diverse fleet of vehicles and drivers, ensuring safety, efficiency, and compliance. This role involves managing external lease and telematics providers and supporting internal partners to foster a culture of safe driving and prevent incidents — in line with bp’s mission of zero fatalities or life-changing injuries.

Key Responsibilities

Monitor and analyze vehicle telematics data to identify and report at-risk driving behavior.
Provide both scheduled and ad hoc reporting on driving safety metrics and compliance.
Act as administrator for bp’s driving safety questionnaire; track and report non-compliance.
Serve as a subject matter expert for Work Needs Vehicle policies and procedures.
Maintain and update the WNV driver register, ensuring changes are properly communicated to vendors.
Manage and update fleet documents such as driver change forms, guides, privacy statements, etc., ensuring document control principles are upheld.
Oversee lease management: recommend new leases, renewals, or cancellations and coordinate required approvals.
Act as Contract Account Manager for Fleet and Telematics service agreements.
Build strong relationships with vendors and act as liaison for any customer or fleet-related issues.
Facilitate contractor engagement and performance review meetings.

Qualifications & Experience

Minimum 5 years of experience in fleet administration or related administrative roles.
Strong attention to detail with proven skills in data accuracy and integrity.
Experience with telematics technology and managing behavior-based driver safety programs.
Proficiency in MS Office tools: Excel, Teams, OneNote, and Outlook.
Effective communicator with excellent interpersonal skills across all organizational levels.
Ability to work under pressure and resolve workforce challenges and complaints.
Prior experience in contractor management is highly desirable.
