Job Summary

We are seeking Sales Trainees who are passionate about driving growth in the lubricants market. This is a hands-on, field-focused role ideal for candidates ready to take on sales strategy execution, distributor management, and territory development.


Key Responsibilities

  • Achieve targets for revenue, profitability, and market reach

  • Implement sales strategies via distributors and direct accounts

  • Build and manage a competent team of Distributor Sales Reps (DSR), Field Market Reps (FMR), and Sales Officers (SO)

  • Ensure seamless service and sales processes at the distributor level

  • Conduct performance reviews and drive accountability through distributor scorecards

  • Monitor key customer accounts, prospects, and potential risks

  • Leverage tools like Salesforce, Power BI, Tableau, Castrol Insights, and TurfView for sales and customer relationship management

  • Maintain strict adherence to bp’s Code of Conduct, Safety, Ethics, and Compliance standards

  • Support distributor claims, ensure complaint resolution, and participate in monthly distributor reviews

  • Actively engage in business development and customer advocacy activities


Skills & Competencies

  • Strong commercial acumen

  • Customer profitability and value chain understanding

  • Channel and territory management experience

  • CRM proficiency

  • Strategic partnership management

  • Excellent communication, collaboration, and leadership capabilities

  • Digital fluency and adaptability to tools and technologies


Experience Required

  • 1–2 years of experience in channel sales and distributor management

  • Experience in handling third-party relationships and traditional market (bazar) trade

  • Ability to travel 15–20 days per month

  • Valid four-wheeler driving license required


Educational Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree is mandatory

  • Preferably in Mechanical, Automobile, Chemical, Production, or Electrical Engineering
