The Senior Account Manager will oversee the assigned territory or named accounts within the India region. Reporting directly to the Sales Director, this role focuses on both acquiring new business and expanding the company's footprint in existing accounts. The Senior Account Manager is responsible for meeting and exceeding sales targets, managing the business pipeline, and driving strategic planning and execution in collaboration with internal teams.
Business Acquisition & Management: Focus on acquiring new business and effectively managing and expanding existing accounts.
Sales Targets: Consistently meet and exceed sales targets for orders and revenue.
Business Pipeline & Forecasting: Develop and maintain a robust business pipeline and provide accurate sales forecasts to management.
Strategic Planning: Identify growth opportunities by analyzing market gaps and competitor installations. Collaborate with marketing, product specialists, and lead generation teams to execute demand generation activities.
Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work closely with internal teams to identify and advance new business opportunities within designated accounts.
Communication & Reporting: Regularly report status updates, strategic plans, and progress to the management team.
Continuous Learning: Engage in ongoing learning to enhance selling skills and deepen understanding of customer needs and how AVEVA's solutions can address them.
Relationship Building: Develop long-term relationships with C-level executives and key decision-makers to become a trusted advisor to clients.
Compliance: Ensure all communication adheres to AVEVA's policies and guidelines.
14+ years of experience in direct sales, account management, or selling software solutions in industries such as Chemicals, Pharma, Power and Water utilities, Manufacturing, and Engineering.
Proven ability to work with long sales cycles and B2B solutions.
Self-starter with a strong drive to succeed and achieve goals.
Ability to create compelling sales strategies at both C-level and functional management levels.
Analytical approach to market analysis and customer engagement.
Strong C-level customer acumen and relationship management skills.
Excellent written and oral communication skills.
Degree-level education in Engineering, Business, Information Technology, or relevant background in process industries.
Experience working in industries such as Manufacturing, Plant Owner Operators, EPC’s, or Design Consultants.
