Job Summary

We are seeking GDO Transit Support Specialists with excellent communication, time management, and organizational skills to join our Transit Outreach team. This role focuses on researching and engaging with external transit partners across various markets to collect geographic data for Google Maps via Google’s Geo Data Upload (GDU) Tool. You will leverage your business development and relationship-building skills to identify and communicate mutually beneficial opportunities to external partners.

Key Responsibilities

✅ Research & Data Collection:

Conduct research across assigned geographies to collate geographic data from approved sources.
Gather accurate information to enhance Google Maps and improve end-user experience.

✅ Partner Engagement:

Communicate Google’s geo mission to potential transit partners.
Promote and facilitate the use of Google’s Geo Data Upload (GDU) Tool using official documentation.
Identify and engage with new partners to expand geographic data contributions.

✅ Collaboration & Communication:

Act as a liaison between external partners and Google’s internal teams to convey requirements and validate data.
Coordinate updates and communicate fixes or edits related to geographic data submissions.
Provide detailed reports on project status and partner insights, including expectations, challenges, and best practices.

✅ Operational Tracking & Reporting:

Manage and track all data submissions through GDU and external sources.
Update internal tools to log and track research outcomes, partner support, rejections, and data submissions.
Report operational issues and transit partner concerns to the GDO Transit Support Specialist Team Lead.

✅ Data Quality & Pipeline Management:

Ensure data quality aligns with Operational Guidelines and Google’s standards.
Oversee the data pipeline from partner submissions to the launch schedule.
Address and resolve external partner queries and troubleshoot operational issues related to authoritative data sources.

Skills & Qualifications

Strong communication, time management, and organizational abilities.
Proven experience in business development and relationship-building.
Ability to manage complex data pipelines and operational workflows.
Proficiency in using both Google and non-Google tools to track partner communications and data submissions.
Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
