How Will You Make an Impact in This Role?

As the Manager, you will be a key member of the Strategic Planning and Development team within Global Merchant and Network Services (GMNS). You will be responsible for strategic planning, performance reporting, and managing control and compliance activities across Latin America and Canada (LACC). This role involves providing strategic insights, ensuring accurate reporting, and supporting leadership decision-making processes through data analysis.

About GMNS:

GMNS is responsible for building and maintaining relationships with merchants, acquirers, and processors, managing the card acceptance network, and providing services like fraud prevention and loyalty programs. The GMNS Strategy, Planning, and Development (SP&D) team collaborates with senior leadership, focusing on planning, reporting, strategy formulation, business development, and compliance management.

The successful candidate will report to the Director based in Mexico and will have 1 direct report.


Key Responsibilities:

1. Reporting & Analysis

  • Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual reports for senior management and stakeholders.

  • Analyze results, identify trends, risks, and opportunities for improvement.

2. Performance Monitoring & Insights

  • Track key performance indicators (KPIs) and provide actionable insights.

  • Develop dashboards and data visualization tools to enhance decision-making.

  • Support executive leadership with ad hoc financial analysis and reporting.

3. Process Improvement & System Optimization

  • Streamline reporting and planning processes to improve efficiency and accuracy.

  • Implement best practices for planning and analysis across the region.

4. Control Management

  • Ensure compliance with internal and external reporting requirements.

  • Conduct Key Risk Indicators audits quarterly for the LACC region.

  • Support audits and regulatory reviews.

  • Manage documentation and implement standard operating procedures through data repositories.

5. Stakeholder Engagement & Communication

  • Act as a key point of contact for reporting and control management-related queries from senior management.

  • Present business insights and recommendations to leadership teams.

  • Foster cross-functional collaboration to achieve strategic goals.


Qualifications & Skills:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Programming, Mathematics, Business Administration, or a related field (Master’s degree is a plus).

  • 5+ years of experience in financial planning, reporting, or a related role.

  • Strong knowledge of financial modeling, forecasting, and budgeting techniques.

  • Proven analytical skills, including the ability to consolidate and present large datasets.

  • Strong communication and presentation abilities.

  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and manage multiple priorities.

  • Resilience, energy, drive, and flexibility.

  • Proficiency in programming languages (SQL, Python, MLS) for software development, task automation, data analysis, and data visualization.

  • Skills in data structures, debugging, problem-solving, and logical thinking.

  • Ability to propose programming/coding solutions to complex business challenges.
