Job Purpose

The IP Analyst will conduct comprehensive patent research and analysis to help clients safeguard their intellectual property. The role involves prior art searches and, depending on experience, may extend to freedom-to-operate (FTO) searches and patent landscape analyses.

Key Responsibilities

???? Prior Art Searches: Conduct high-quality novelty, validity, and state-of-the-art searches following ISO 9001 processes.
???? Search Strategy Development: Tailor search strategies to client needs and refine approaches based on specific patent-related queries.
???? Patent Document Analysis: Review and assess search lists, identify relevant patents, and extract key insights.
???? Freedom-to-Operate (FTO) Searches: Assist in conducting FTO searches under supervision or independently (depending on experience).
???? Patent Landscape Analysis: Analyze competitive and technological environments surrounding innovations.
???? Report Preparation: Draft detailed reports summarizing findings, offering insights on patentability, validity, or state-of-the-art considerations.

Skills & Experience Required

✔ Experience: Prior experience as an IP Analyst with a solid foundation in patent research & analysis.
✔ Boolean Search Techniques: Strong knowledge of Boolean search strategies.
✔ Patent Databases: Familiarity with global patent search tools, including AI-powered search capabilities.
✔ Technical Knowledge: Understanding of engineering, science, or related fields for accurate patent assessments.
✔ Attention to Detail: Ability to review and analyze patent documents meticulously, ensuring ISO 9001 compliance.
✔ Communication Skills: Ability to present research findings through well-organized reports and clear verbal communication.
