Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Insurance Manager to oversee all aspects of insurance management in our hospital operations. This role ensures smooth coordination between hospital services and insurance providers, optimizing claims processing, reimbursement rates, and compliance with regulations.

Key Responsibilities

???? Insurance Management:
✔ Develop and implement hospital insurance policies and strategies.
✔ Negotiate with insurance providers for competitive coverage.
✔ Ensure accurate documentation of insurance policies, renewals, and claims.

???? Claims Management:
✔ Oversee the preparation and submission of insurance claims.
✔ Monitor claims status to ensure timely payments.
✔ Work with insurance companies to resolve claims and reimbursement issues.

???? Billing & Reimbursement:
✔ Verify patient insurance details and billing codes for accurate claims submission.
✔ Collaborate with billing and finance teams to streamline reimbursement processes.
✔ Analyze claims data to improve reimbursement rates and reduce denials.

⚖ Compliance & Risk Management:
✔ Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local insurance regulations.
✔ Monitor policy changes and update hospital practices accordingly.
✔ Maintain detailed records of insurance claims, policies, and coverage limits.

???? Stakeholder Coordination:
✔ Work with hospital leadership to assess insurance needs.
✔ Provide training on insurance procedures and best practices to hospital staff.
✔ Build strong relationships with insurance carriers to facilitate smooth processes.

???? Reporting & Data Analysis:
✔ Generate reports on claims, payments, denials, and audits.
✔ Identify patterns in insurance claims and develop strategies to reduce financial losses.

Qualifications & Requirements

???? Education:
✔ Bachelor's degree in Healthcare Administration, Business, Finance, or a related field (Master’s preferred).

???? Experience:
✔ 5+ years in insurance management or healthcare operations (hospital setting preferred).
✔ In-depth knowledge of healthcare insurance policies, billing, and compliance regulations.
✔ Strong negotiation skills with insurance companies and claims resolution experience.

???? Skills:
✔ Familiarity with hospital operations and medical terminology.
✔ Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
✔ Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

???? Preferred:
✔ Certification in Healthcare Insurance (CHFP or CPC preferred).
✔ Experience with Electronic Health Records (EHR) systems and insurance management software.
✔ Knowledge of risk management and compliance regulations.
