What You'll Do

Position summary

A hands-on, commercially focused Sr. Financial Analyst role working with the Contracting team team located in Mumbai and Gurgaon. The role requires the individual to work in a collaborative manner with the Commercial Manager, the Global Services Finance Team, the consultants and partners. The candidate will work with the Commercial Manager and have responsibility for project and contract management, reporting and analysis on key business and client based metrics. The role supports the Commercial Manager in the area of contract, pricing and financial management of projects by ensuring the BCGs contracting and revenue recognition policies are adhered to and providing timely and meaningful analysis of key metrics.

Job Responsibilities include:

Business Partnering -

Help the business with pricing and commercial analysis on deals.
Work with legal teams to ensure that commercial and legal terms are as per BCG policies in RFPs and contracts.
Drive the commercial performance of the operations, providing insightful analysis and support to achieve
Assist the Commercial Manager in preparation of materials to support discussions between System Leader, HoF and local partner group on the direction and performance of the operation
Effectively embed risk management into the commercial aspects of the finance function, and ensure we have adequate systems of internal control and ensure compliance with local tax, legal, and other regulatory requirements
Providing ad hoc information and analysis as required
Improving constantly the information systems based on SAP database
Liaise with Global Services and the region as appropriate

Risk Management and Compliance -

Ensures appropriate local office policies are in place and monitored and global policies are adhered to
Assist in client negotiations and contracting directly or through teaming with appropriate experts and legal team, ensuring enforcement of world-wide contracting and pricing policies.
Assist in the implementation of Global risk management procedures (e.g., segregation of duties, controls, documentation, archiving, emergency procedures) in the finance and legal entity maintenance areas.

Key Competences:

This is an exciting and a challenging position. The position requires an individual with 5+ years of experience in Commercial, Client contract management, pricing, preferably in IT or consultancy industry. The person should be outgoing, and comfortable in a truly multinational environment, working with different cultures, styles and all levels of staff. The person should be comfortable communicating with the senior leadership team either at the local or global level; able to communicate fluently.

What You'll Bring

Business degree, preferably with emphasis onFinance/Accounting and professionally qualified – Chartered Accountancy or equivalent3 years’ experience in Commercial finance role
Experience in pricing, negotiation, contracting, analysis and commercial support, financial systems implementation

Skills & Attributes -

Fluency in written and spoken English
Individual must demonstrate leadership qualities and be willing to take a hands on approach and also be able to excel in a large international company culture
Excellent people skill, able to motivate and develop the local teams
Advanced technical skills with proficiency in desktop applications, financial systems and general ledger
Extensive use of Windows and the following software applications:

– PowerPoint, Excel, and Word

– Outlook

– Oracle or other large financial systems environment

Team player who is willing to be part of a virtual regional and global finance function
Willingness to provide a wide range of financial services from routine tasks to intricate financial management data
Strong analytical skills, structured and accurate
Flexibility to work in an environment that has short-term shifts in priorities to meet a diverse customer base
Strong communication skills both written and oral
Solid business partner with the ability to dialogue, communicate at all levels
Trustworthy, able to be deal with confidential information.
