Position Overview

The Financial Analyst, Associate is a vital role within the Education team, supporting internal and external customers. This position focuses on entrepreneurship and requires the ability to liaise effectively across multi-functional workgroups. The role involves initiating billing transactions, assisting in process development, and ensuring accurate reporting and processing of billing transactions. This position also requires the ability to perform daily, weekly, and monthly tasks with time sensitivities that impact other teams and processes.

Essential Functions

Billing and Payment Management
- Review statements of work and set up payment accounts in LMS.
- Review billing reports and submit transactions to the accounting team for invoicing.
- Audit and validate the correct accounting treatment on transactions/reports, such as deferred revenue, revenue carves, and managing Time and Material or Fixed Fee items.
Data Verification and Communication
- Verify data linked across systems to ensure data integrity for future billing and customer account accuracy.
- Communicate and coordinate with other departments (e.g., Accounts Payable, Accounting, Cash Applications, Royalties/Partner Commission, Global Renewals, Collections, Order Entry, Installation Database Team) to complete or share cross-functional information.
Customer Service and Collaboration
- Provide exceptional customer service when handling customer billing questions and requests.
- Collaborate with team managers to build bi-monthly learning revenue forecasts.
- Perform other Education Operations Support and business-related tasks as assigned by the Management Team.

Qualifications

Education: Bachelor’s degree required.
Experience: 4+ years in billing/revenue recognition, ideally in a corporate education environment.
Certifications: CPA, CMA, or finance/data analytics credentials would be advantageous.

Software Applications

Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook).
Proficient in handling large Excel data.
Experience with ERP tools (e.g., SAP, Oracle, Softrax) is a plus.

Work Environment and Physical Demands

Work Hours: EMEA or US business hours.
Work Mode: Remote.
Physical Demands: Extended work hours during month-end and quarter-end periods.
