Team Overview:

Marketplace is looking to build a Quality Assurance (QA) function within its Business Intelligence & Operations team. As part of this growing team, the Data Quality Analyst will play a crucial role in establishing the QA process, with a focus on implementing best-in-class reporting.

Job Description:

Short-Term Objectives (First 3 Months):

Ingestion Validation: Push 40% of partners through the ingestion validation process.
Mapping Validation: Push 40% of partners through the mapping validation process.

Key Responsibilities:

Reporting & Reconciliation:
- Reconcile affiliate network revenue by vertical and publisher brand on a monthly basis.
- Investigate discrepancies to isolate specific days, products, providers, or commission values.
Data Validation & JIRA:
- Validate new tickets on the Data Engineering JIRA board to ensure requests are complete, accurate, and descriptive.
- Investigate and update results into JIRA tickets and Google Sheets.
Revenue Data Monitoring:
- Use Postman API and Webhooks to pull revenue data from partner portals and verify against BigQuery (BQ).
- Monitor API failures, rate limits, and response inconsistencies impacting revenue ingestion.
Collaboration:
- Seek revenue clarifications from the vertical’s RevOps team member as needed.
- Clarify JIRA commentary for data engineers and ensure timely, on-target delivery of outputs.
- Communicate requirements, goals, and progress to stakeholders.

Qualifications:

Experience:
- At least 2 years of data quality analysis experience.
- Strong understanding of SQL for data validation (experience with BigQuery is a plus).
Skills:
- Experience with large relational databases and the ability to navigate datasets for required data.
- Ability to communicate data to non-technical audiences through reports and visualizations.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
Working Style:
- Comfortable working remotely and collaborating with teams across multiple geographies and time zones.
