???? Role Overview:

As a Competitive Technical Research Analyst, you will play a key role in helping Rubrik’s sales teams stay ahead of the competition. You will use competitive intelligence to create impactful messaging, deliver training, and support field teams with tools, resources, and insights. Your responsibility will be to maintain internal collateral and provide actionable insights to enhance Rubrik’s competitive positioning.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Sales Enablement Support:
    Collaborate with the sales enablement team to create sales tools, presentations, cheat sheets, and training resources.

  • Competitive Analysis:
    Develop and deliver detailed competitive analysis, including product comparisons, positioning of Rubrik’s solutions, and evidence-based proof points.

  • Field Support:
    Provide support to the field teams by delivering insights on emerging product features and how they compare to the competition.

  • Quarterly Reporting:
    Conduct regular competitive landscape analysis, providing feedback to inform strategy and track competitive trends.

  • Collaboration with Product Teams:
    Work closely with product management and marketing to create collateral that supports demand generation and strengthens Rubrik’s competitive edge.

  • Customer-Focused Documentation:
    Create in-depth documentation comparing Rubrik’s features to competitors, enabling the field teams to present compelling use cases to prospects.


???? Qualifications & Skills Required:

  • Experience:
    5+ years of experience in a quota-carrying, field sales role (e.g., Sales Engineer or Solutions Architect).

  • Technical Expertise:

    • Experience implementing and managing data protection solutions like Cohesity DataProtect, Veeam Backup & Recovery, DellEMC IDPA / DataProtect, Veritas NetBackup, and Commvault.

    • Familiarity with unstructured data protection, particularly for On-Prem NAS and Cloud object storage.

    • Understanding of cloud computing architectures, products, and landscape.

  • SaaS & Cyber Resilience Knowledge:
    Strong understanding of SaaS application protection and cyber resilience strategies.

  • Competitive Intelligence:
    Ability to analyze competitor products, strategies, and messaging to create actionable insights and compelling differentiators for Rubrik solutions.

  • Collaboration:
    Ability to work with diverse teams, drive projects forward, and effectively communicate across various stakeholders.

  • Communication & Presentation Skills:
    Experience in developing and delivering technical presentations and documents that resonate with customers.

  • Execution Speed:
    A proactive, result-driven individual with the ability to move at the speed of sales and respond swiftly to competitive market changes.
