Job Summary

As an Associate Analyst at Altus Group, you will be responsible for collecting and organizing commercial real estate (CRE) data to support the company's Intelligence as a Service solutions. This position offers an excellent opportunity to gain exposure to the CRE data analytics field and contribute to the accuracy and reliability of the company’s database, helping generate reports and presentations for the CRE market.

Key Responsibilities

Research and Data Collection: Support the collection and ingestion of key commercial real estate data using multilevel data sources.
Data Accuracy: Ensure the accuracy of information entered into Altus Group’s databases. Review discrepancies in data, seek clarification, or notify team members of issues.
Data Proofing: Proof entries as required and compile information from various sources to complete files.
Collaboration: Work with team members to confirm required information and assist others to ensure accurate and timely data entry.
Data Verification: Use judgment to escalate data verification utilizing appropriate resources.
Internal Data Management: Contribute to the maintenance and accuracy of internal data management systems.
Market Understanding: Maintain an understanding of the commercial real estate markets.
Time Management: Accurately complete timesheets, ensuring non-billable time and recoverable expenses are clearly outlined.

Key Qualifications

Experience: 0.6 to 3 years of experience in Finance, Commerce, Real Estate, or Economics.
Real Estate Experience: Background in commercial real estate is an asset.
Communication Skills: Excellent written, verbal, and oral presentation skills.
Microsoft Office: Intermediate to advanced proficiency in Word, Outlook, and Excel (VLOOKUP, Pivot Tables, etc.).
Financial Modeling: Basic skills in creating financial models (e.g., Excel, Argus).
Lease Interpretation: Ability to understand and interpret leases for modeling purposes, including budgeting, actuals, rent rolls, and recoveries.
Research & Analytical Skills: Strong research, quantitative, and analytical skills.
