Functional Description: Global Treasury Operations (GTO)

The Global Treasury Operations (GTO) team operates across APAC, EMEA, US & Canada, and LAC, managing daily cash activities across 300+ bank accounts for 30+ legal entities with 100+ bank partners.

The APAC Treasury Operations team is responsible for:

Daily cash management to ensure adequate liquidity for business operations.
Foreign exchange (FX) exposure management for restricted currency markets in APAC.
Acting as a backup for EMEA GTO during an Out-of-Region (OOR) Business Continuity Plan (BCP) event.

This role requires flexibility to work on certain Indian holidays, aligning opted leaves with APAC market holidays.

Key Responsibilities

???? Cash & FX Exposure Management

Manage cash and funding requirements for APAC markets at the lowest possible cost while balancing interest rate and liquidity risks.
Identify and hedge foreign exchange (FX) exposures to protect the balance sheet and income statement from adverse currency risks.
Monitor bank accounts and execute cash movements to ensure sufficient liquidity.
Analyze, calculate, recommend, and execute FX hedge actions daily.

???? Risk Mitigation & Compliance

Work with restricted market banks to execute foreign exchange transactions.
Ensure compliance with regulatory and internal treasury policies.
Support projects related to liquidity and FX management.

???? Stakeholder Collaboration

Maintain strong relationships with external banks and internal partners, including:
- New York and UK Treasury teams
- Financial Controllers
- Technology and Finance teams
Provide backup support for other analysts and managers in Treasury Operations.

???? Process Improvement & Automation

Streamline cash management processes and drive operational efficiencies.
Leverage intelligent automation technologies to enhance treasury operations.

Mandatory Requirements

✅ Treasury & FX Trading Expertise

Hands-on experience dealing with restricted market banks for foreign exchange trading.
Knowledge of transactional banking products and money market instruments for corporate borrowings and placements.

✅ Operational & Compliance Knowledge

Understanding of cash management, FX exposure management, and risk mitigation.
Familiarity with bank account structures, including sweeps and pooling solutions.

✅ Technical & Analytical Skills

Proficiency in Treasury Management Systems.
Advanced Excel skills and experience with automation tools.
Strong analytical mindset with an ability to derive meaningful insights from financial data.

✅ Communication & Leadership

Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Ability to work independently while managing multiple priorities under pressure.

Required Qualifications

???? Education & Experience

MBA (Finance)/CA/CPA with 1–3 years of experience OR
Graduate/Postgraduate in Finance/Economics with 4–5 years of experience.
At least 4 years' experience in a corporate treasury or banking environment preferred.
