Hydro Global Business Services (GBS) is a strategic internal service provider for the Hydro Group. It delivers vital IT, financial, and HR services across all business areas, aiming to enhance efficiency and alignment throughout the organization.
This role focuses on executing General Ledger (GL) functions, including bank reconciliations, fixed assets accounting, intercompany transactions, VAT handling, and month-end closing. The position requires adherence to General Procedures and Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).
Perform bank reconciliations regularly
Manage fixed asset accounting: capitalization, retirement, depreciation
Handle intercompany reconciliations and reporting
Conduct balance sheet reconciliations in Blackline
Post month-end journal entries including revaluation and adjustments
Carry out payroll-related accounting entries
Prepare KPIs, Capex, Opex, and other R2R-related reports
Coordinate VAT exemption certificate collection, validation, and follow-up with customers
Calculate and accrue Use Tax
Compile and deliver sales reports to consultants for return filings
Work Experience: 7–10 years in General Ledger accounting
Preferred Certification: Chartered Accountant (CA) is an advantage
Functional Knowledge: Strong grasp of finance and accounting principles
Technical Knowledge: Proficiency in integrated financial systems
Language: Fluent in English (written and verbal)
