The Risk Management team at American Express is responsible for developing credit, operational, enterprise, and fraud policies that drive profitable growth while ensuring a strong control environment.
As a Risk Management Analyst, you will be part of the Smart Monitoring Center of Excellence (COE), which leverages technology, automation, and data science to detect, predict, and prevent risks. You will work on designing, developing, and managing Key Risk Indicators (KRIs) to support business units, product lines, and processes across American Express.
We are expanding our Smart Monitoring COE in 2025 and looking for talented individuals to join us in building the future of risk monitoring.

✅ 2+ years of experience in data-driven analytics, preferably in the financial services industry and risk management.
✅ Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Business, Statistics, Mathematics, Computer Science, or Engineering.
✅ Proficiency in Big Data, SQL, Hive, Python, and Google BigQuery.
✅ Strong analytical skills with high attention to detail.
✅ Ability to translate complex processes into clear, actionable insights.
✅ Experience in problem-solving in unstructured environments.
✅ Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
✅ Self-motivated and capable of handling multiple workstreams simultaneously.
✅ Familiarity with AXP data environments and Smart Monitoring is a plus.
