The Network Delivery team within NAS modernizes our global network by delivering innovative digital products (e.g., Debit, Local networks, QR, Tokenization) that adapt to local needs while ensuring global interoperability. This transformation enables the Enterprise to attract new customers, enter new markets, and adapt to changing regulatory and payment processing demands.


About the Role

The Analyst – Quality Assurance in the Network Delivery team is responsible for ensuring the quality of code that goes into production. Leveraging our network automation framework, you will test multiple network products (credit, debit, digital payment products) and specifications prior to deployment. In this role, you will partner closely with product and engineering teams for test case planning, execution, defect management, and daily quality assurance activities across the various applications supporting the Amex Network.


Key Responsibilities

  • Testing & Validation:
    • Design testing plans for network applications, products, and specifications using the automation framework.
    • Perform end-to-end test validations covering functional and regression scenarios.
  • Test Script Development:
    • Create test scripts and scenarios based on the business use cases of network features delivered in each Program Increment (PI).
    • Collaborate with the Test Manager and product teams to execute testing plans.
  • Defect Management:
    • Manage defects and work closely with Test Managers, Engineering, and Product teams to resolve issues.
  • Continuous Improvement:
    • Contribute to continuous improvement and innovation in quality across all phases of the software delivery lifecycle.
  • Collaboration & Quality Metrics:
    • Collaborate with various business and technology partners to drive the execution of quality strategies and controls.
    • Define, track, and report quality metrics across the program, providing actionable insights to improve quality and time-to-market.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Experience:
    • At least 5 years of experience in both product and engineering roles.
  • Education:
    • Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering.
  • Technical & Methodological Expertise:
    • Experience in building and managing quality frameworks and automation tools is preferred.
    • Knowledge or experience in test-driven development and automation using CI/CD tools is an advantage.
    • Strong understanding of Agile methodologies and practices.
  • Additional Skills:
    • Proven track record in change management and delivery within complex, matrixed organizations.
    • High intellectual curiosity with excellent creative and critical thinking skills.
    • Comfort in handling ambiguity and strong communication skills to translate business needs into technical requirements.
    • Payments industry experience, particularly with network and payment technology for debit/credit processing, is preferred.
    • High energy, an optimistic attitude, and a good sense of humor.
