About the Role

This position is within the Centre of International Compliance Operation (CICO) team, which supports over 30 international markets by providing operational and reporting assistance to International Market Compliance Offices.

The International Compliance team assesses compliance with laws, regulations, and policies impacting American Express products and services. This role focuses on developing, deploying, and maintaining reporting and scorecard management for the CICO organization.


Key Responsibilities

Reporting & Dashboard Management

  • Collate inputs from multiple stakeholders to prepare CICO Productivity/Staff Utilization Dashboards and Performance Scorecards.
  • Provide Business Intelligence (BI) support in evaluating dashboard, reporting, and scorecard requirements.
  • Build and deploy dashboards using BI tools like Power BI, Tableau, and SiSense.
  • Answer queries related to insight generation on CICO Productivity, Utilization, and Performance metrics.

Data Analytics & Project Management

  • Work with business partners to identify and evaluate various MIS reporting, dashboard, and scorecard requirements.
  • Utilize structured project methodologies to design, implement, and manage reporting/scorecard projects.
  • Support special projects by compiling data and preparing reports for senior management.
  • Maintain records and files for efficient and consistent compliance reporting.

Compliance & Risk Collaboration

  • Collaborate with risk, compliance, and business partners across multiple groups to ensure adherence to bank policies, banking laws, and regulations.
  • Interface with business partners, auditors, and third-party vendors to ensure compliance with regulatory standards.

Minimum Qualifications

Education & Certifications

  • Undergraduate Degree in a quantitative field or equivalent work experience.

Technical & Analytical Skills

  • 3+ years' experience in Business Intelligence, Compliance Reporting, or Data Analytics.
  • Strong working knowledge of BI tools (Power BI, Tableau, SiSense).
  • Proficiency in SQL and experience working with large datasets.
  • Familiarity with Hive/HQL, Python, Jupyter Notebooks, and Spark.
  • Understanding of High-Density File Systems (Big Data) such as Hadoop.
  • Experience with machine learning algorithms (preferred).
  • Proficiency with statistical methods and analysis.

Soft Skills & Project Management

  • Strong analytical and project management skills with a track record of driving results.
  • Excellent organization, prioritization, and collaboration skills.
  • Self-motivated, detail-oriented, and capable of handling multiple tasks.
  • Strong presentation and communication skills (both written and verbal).

Additional Preferences

  • Experience with IBM mainframe (desired but not required).
  • Certifications such as CRCM, CIA, CAMS, CPA are helpful but not mandatory.
