Job Overview

The Merchandise Assistant plays a vital role in supporting the Buyer with administrative tasks, managing vendor and database records, maintaining order records, and handling product requests from stores. This role requires close collaboration with Retail Stores, the Distribution Center, and Vendors.

Key Responsibilities

Website & Product Management:

Conduct product selection sales reviews twice weekly, updating style pins and feature colors for promotions, department landing pages, and living spaces.
Maintain all website categories and navigation, ensuring product titles and copy are accurate and aligned with SOP standards.
Acquire and update brand guidelines, collection copy, logos, and icons for new collection launches.
Manage promotional and closeout departments (e.g., "Last Chance," "Great Deals," and "Made Too Much"), ensuring proper product displays.
Proof and maintain limited-time and permanent sales, ensuring disclaimers are updated and promotional web pages function correctly.
Create and update seasonal trend departments and fashion colors.

Category Management & Analytics:

Analyze sales performance and KPIs using internal tools to implement site changes that improve performance.
Coordinate with marketing campaigns to enhance product visibility and sales.

E-commerce Platform Management:

Implement agreed-upon site updates and modifications using e-commerce platforms (e.g., SFCC, Shopify, Magento).
Ensure smooth maintenance of digital product listings.

Essential Skills & Qualifications

Typing speed: Minimum 40 WPM.
Strong communication: Excellent verbal, written, and grammar skills.
Technical proficiency:
- Experience with Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook).
- Proficiency in e-commerce platforms like SFCC, Shopify, or Magento.
- Familiarity with Workfront, AX, or similar software is a plus.
Attention to detail: Strong proofreading abilities to maintain accuracy in product listings.
Category management: Ability to analyze sales data and make data-driven decisions.
Bachelor’s degree preferred.
