Primary Purpose of the Position:

The Business Analyst focuses on building modern, fully automated business solutions. You will work closely with business partners to specify, design, and develop solutions that enable business applications in the areas of Sales & Marketing initiatives. This role requires establishing strong partnerships with IT peers, ensuring technical ownership, and adhering to best practices and Goodyear standards.

Key responsibilities include:

Enabling automation and efficiency through technical acumen and experience.
Securing code practices and managing data pipeline implementation.
Utilizing cloud technologies and provisioning environments efficiently.
Acting as a subject matter expert in Data-Driven Application Development, covering Requirements Analysis, Design, Development, Support, and Project Management.
Fostering collaboration within various teams across geographies (Corporate, Regional, Local).

Job Responsibilities:

Development & Maintenance: Develop, test, and maintain applications used for sales & marketing functions, including any custom-developed applications supporting regional initiatives.
Automation & Quality: Automate processes, write test automation, document thoroughly, and ensure sustainability through high-quality development.
Collaboration & Continuous Improvement: Support business partners, participate in requirement collection, and consistently improve code quality through refactoring and reducing technical debt.
Pipeline & Process Support: Actively participate in monitoring and supporting pipelines, analyze unforeseen process issues, and improve code/processes for business continuity with minimal maintenance efforts.

Job Requirements:

Education: Bachelor's Degree in Computer Information Science.
Experience:
- 5+ years in architecting, designing, and engineering application development (Java is an advantage).
- 3+ years in Agile project development.
- 3+ years of experience in building data models and converting them into technical application designs.
- 2+ years of experience in integration and interfacing across various systems (experience with SAP, especially Sales and Distribution modules, is an advantage).
Skills:
- Strong analytical and thinking skills.
- Ability to understand business processes.
- Storyboarding skills – translating storyboards into logical flows.
- Strong communication skills (both written and verbal) in English and Chinese.
