About the Role:

We are seeking a passionate and energetic FMS Software Engineer to join our dynamic engineering team in Bangalore. You will contribute to the development and verification of next-generation Flight Management Systems (FMS).


Roles & Responsibilities:

  • Develop and verify various FMS modules across all phases of development.

  • Analyze complex architectures, requirements, algorithms, and designs for FMS systems.

  • Design and code in compliance with DO178B/C standards.

  • Perform peer reviews, debugging, and defect resolution using cockpit simulation test benches.

  • Ensure timely, high-quality software deliveries to the QA team.

  • Participate in Agile development teams to meet project milestones and deadlines.

  • Support root cause corrective actions (RCCAs) and defect prevention processes.

  • Collaborate effectively with global cross-functional teams.


Required Skills & Experience:

  • 5+ years of experience in software development and system architecture within avionics embedded systems.

  • Proficient in C++ and/or ADA95/2012.

  • Strong understanding of SDLC, OOPs concepts, and DO178B/C avionics standards.

  • Hands-on experience in development, verification, and validation.

  • Experience with Flight Management Systems is required.

  • Familiarity with tools like DOORS, ClearCase, and ClearQuest.

  • Quick learner, adaptable to customer needs and evolving technologies.

  • Strong problem-solving, communication, and collaboration skills.

  • Willingness to travel domestically and internationally as needed.


Preferred Knowledge:

  • Aircraft performance and navigation databases.

  • Flight planning, dispatch solutions, and EFB applications.

  • ARINC standards and airline flight operations.

  • Understanding of pilot procedures and cockpit environments.
