About the Role:

We are seeking a passionate and energetic FMS Software Engineer to join our dynamic engineering team in Bangalore. You will contribute to the development and verification of next-generation Flight Management Systems (FMS).

Roles & Responsibilities:

Develop and verify various FMS modules across all phases of development.
Analyze complex architectures, requirements, algorithms, and designs for FMS systems.
Design and code in compliance with DO178B/C standards.
Perform peer reviews, debugging, and defect resolution using cockpit simulation test benches.
Ensure timely, high-quality software deliveries to the QA team.
Participate in Agile development teams to meet project milestones and deadlines.
Support root cause corrective actions (RCCAs) and defect prevention processes.
Collaborate effectively with global cross-functional teams.

Required Skills & Experience:

5+ years of experience in software development and system architecture within avionics embedded systems.
Proficient in C++ and/or ADA95/2012.
Strong understanding of SDLC, OOPs concepts, and DO178B/C avionics standards.
Hands-on experience in development, verification, and validation.
Experience with Flight Management Systems is required.
Familiarity with tools like DOORS, ClearCase, and ClearQuest.
Quick learner, adaptable to customer needs and evolving technologies.
Strong problem-solving, communication, and collaboration skills.
Willingness to travel domestically and internationally as needed.

Preferred Knowledge:

Aircraft performance and navigation databases.
Flight planning, dispatch solutions, and EFB applications.
ARINC standards and airline flight operations.
Understanding of pilot procedures and cockpit environments.
