Job Overview:

The role involves working as a mid-level engineer or technical specialist. Under general supervision, you will handle all aspects of traditional design engineering and analysis, aiming to expand your knowledge across different disciplines and functional areas.

Key Responsibilities:

Engineering Standards:

Stay up-to-date with departmental design guides, standards, systems, and material engineering codes.
Apply these to assigned tasks as needed.

Quality/Continuous Improvement:

Apply and comply with Black & Veatch's quality program for assigned tasks.
Support continuous improvement and change management efforts.

Engineering Production:

Prepare a variety of moderately complex engineering deliverables.
Conduct complex analyses and recommend material/equipment selections.
Manage data collection and preparation for engineering work.
Perform complex engineering calculations per standard methods.
Adhere to budget, schedule, and quality requirements.
Identify and resolve issues within assigned areas.
Provide guidance to others when necessary.

Project Coordination:

Assign tasks and coordinate with internal/external team members for less complex projects.
Collaborate with other disciplines to identify and coordinate project details.

Client Focus:

Understand client interests and objectives through regular interaction and project leadership.
Apply this understanding to your work responsibilities.

Knowledge Sharing, Innovation, and Technology:

Share knowledge on the latest technologies and processes.

People Management:

Educational Requirement: B.E in Civil Engineering (minimum)
Experience: Minimum 10 years
Expertise in designing concrete and steel structures, underground concrete structures, steel pipe racks, and platforms.
Knowledge in wind and seismic load calculations and connection design.
Proficiency in reviewing RC/Steel GA and detailed drawings.
Software Knowledge: STAAD (mandatory), RISA (preferred)
Code Knowledge: Indian codes (mandatory), American and Euro codes (preferred)

Minimum Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree in engineering from an accredited program in your country or the country of practice.
Minimum of 3 years of related work experience.
Ability to complete pre-employment onboarding requirements (criminal/civil background check, drug screening, and motor vehicle records search) per applicable laws and regulations.
