Responsibilities

Bridge engineering and product teams – Understand the long-term product roadmap and architect a scalable system design.
Convert product insights into detailed engineering requirements, break them into smaller tasks, and execute sprints with the team.
Write high-quality, high-performance, unit-tested code for a distributed environment using containers.
Improve DevOps processes for a cloud-native codebase.
Review PRs, mentor team members, and enhance shipping velocity.
Champion engineering best practices within the organization.

Qualifications

Work Experience

2+ years of industry experience (1+ years in a senior engineering role).
Prior experience leading remote development teams (preferred).
Proven track record of building large-scale, high-throughput, low-latency production systems.
1+ years of experience working with customers, architecting solutions, and delivering end-to-end products.
Fluency in Go or Python in a microservice architecture using containers/VMs.
1+ years experience in DevOps (Kubernetes, Docker, Helm, and public cloud APIs).
Experience with databases:
- SQL (relational databases)
- MongoDB or CouchDB (non-relational databases)
(Bonus: Experience working with big data in data lakes/warehouses).
(Bonus: Built an end-to-end ML pipeline.)

Skills

Strong documentation skills – We are a remote team, so we rely on clear documentation.
Leadership & mentorship – Ability to motivate, mentor, and lead others in a flat team structure.
Strong independent contributor who also works well in a team.
Working knowledge of ML and familiarity with MLOps concepts.
