Job Summary:

We are seeking a Software Development Engineer - Test to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for test automation, implementing automation strategies, and ensuring the quality and functionality of features, workflows, and web applications.

✅ Has experience being a quality owner for a product or critical SaaS platform component.
✅ Excels in documenting unexpected behaviors and test scenarios with clarity.

✅ Takes a pragmatic approach to technology, understanding trade-offs in technical decisions.
✅ Has a strong understanding of risk management and how to address potential challenges.

Responsibilities:

Develop Automated Test Scripts to enhance testing efficiency and software delivery speed.
Identify Opportunities to improve testing frameworks and team capabilities.
Collaborate with Development & Product Teams to define comprehensive system enhancements and feature requirements.
Analyze End-User Needs to develop and maintain detailed test plans and test cases.
Execute Manual & Automated Test Cases, troubleshoot errors, document issues, and follow up for resolution.
Identify, Reproduce & Report Defects while verifying fixes.
Participate in Agile Development Processes, contributing to continuous improvement initiatives.
Act as an Advocate for End-Users, ensuring that requirements are met from a user perspective.
Recommend Enhancements in both quality control and software development processes.

Qualifications:

✔ 5+ years of experience in testing, developing, or supporting web applications.
✔ Experience in API testing and client applications.
✔ Familiarity with issue-tracking tools like Jira, Trello, etc..
✔ Experience with test case management software.
✔ Strong analytical, problem-solving, and troubleshooting skills.
✔ Excellent communication skills—able to engage in constructive discussions and collaborate effectively.
✔ Ability to interview and assess candidates for testing roles.
✔ Proven leadership experience, including the ability to build, inspire, and develop teams while fostering a positive work culture.

Preferred Skills & Experience:

???? Experience with automated program testing using an end-to-end testing framework.
???? Familiarity with API testing frameworks (e.g., Postman, Rest Assured).
???? Experience testing or supporting web applications, databases, mobile platforms, or complex systems.
???? Ability to write code using JavaScript or TypeScript.
???? Knowledge of SQL and database concepts.
???? Passion for driving impactful engineering initiatives.
