As a Senior Solutions Engineer, you will play a pivotal role in driving Neo4j’s growth by delivering business value, shaping customer solutions, and accelerating product adoption. You will engage in deep technical discovery, support the sales process through value-based selling, and collaborate with key partners to drive joint go-to-market (GTM) initiatives.
1. Sales Process & Customer Engagement
Lead technical discovery to understand customer challenges, pain points, and success criteria.
Deliver value-based selling, articulating Neo4j’s unique benefits and ROI to technical and business stakeholders.
Own the pre-sales engagement through impactful presentations, live demonstrations, and competitive positioning.
Map customer requirements to Neo4j capabilities through whiteboarding sessions, workshops, and tailored solutions.
Develop proof-of-value (PoV) demonstrations and prototypes showcasing tangible business outcomes.
Collaborate with sales teams to support deal qualification, progression, and conversion strategies.
Ensure a smooth handoff to Professional Services, sharing insights for successful project implementation.
2. Partner & Ecosystem Collaboration
Work closely with key hyperscalers (AWS, Azure, GCP), ISVs, and system integrators to drive joint solutions and co-sell initiatives.
Deliver partner enablement programs to enhance technical skills and improve Neo4j positioning.
Design solutions integrating Neo4j with hyperscaler services (e.g., AWS Neptune, Azure Cosmos DB, Google BigQuery).
Engage with partner sales and technical teams to influence deal cycles and execute joint marketing strategies.
3. Community & Thought Leadership
Support local marketing events, user groups, and Neo4j community initiatives.
Contribute to thought leadership through webinars, technical blogs, and industry conference presentations.
Value Selling Expertise: Deep understanding of value-based selling and aligning solutions with business outcomes.
Technical Discovery: Strong experience in consultative solutioning, mapping customer needs to technology capabilities.
Graph Database Knowledge: Expertise in Neo4j or other graph databases (e.g., OrientDB, JanusGraph), plus familiarity with relational and NoSQL systems.
Hyperscaler Experience: In-depth understanding of AWS, Azure, and GCP data services and GTM strategies.
Technical Proficiency: Strong coding skills in Java, Python, JavaScript, plus experience with Docker, Kubernetes, and cloud infrastructure.
Communication Skills: Excellent presentation and interpersonal skills, capable of engaging technical teams, C-level executives, and partners.
Industry Expertise: Experience in Financial Services, Retail, Government, Security, or Telecommunications is a plus.
7+ years of experience in pre-sales, professional services, or customer-facing technical roles.
Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in a relevant field.
Proven experience collaborating with partners, including hyperscalers, ISVs, and system integrators.
Ability to work independently within a cross-functional, global organization.
Willingness to travel for customer and partner engagements as needed.
