What You’ll Do on a Typical Day:

Lead an engineering team to build, operate, streamline, and maintain technology solutions to meet evolving customer and supplier needs.
Take a whole-systems approach to analyze use cases, design, implement, and maintain integrated solutions using standard engineering methodologies.
Successfully manage day-to-day activities and solve complex engineering issues.
Research and recommend frameworks and architectural/code design patterns.
Creatively test and maintain software applications and related systems using a variety of development tools.
Lead and participate in design and code reviews.
Collaborate with Product teams to refine business requirements.
Partner with peers across regions, within and outside the organization.
Share domain and industry knowledge to enhance engineering practices.
Advocate for operational excellence, ensuring system resilience, scalability, testing, monitoring, and alerting.
Report project status to leadership for high-visibility initiatives.
Seek opportunities to enhance customer experiences.
Mentor and guide other engineers in designing maintainable, testable, and observable software.
Demonstrate leadership through mentorship, documentation, and code standards.

What We’re Looking For:

Bachelor’s degree with at least 10 years of relevant work experience.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to collaborate across engineering teams and other company functions.
Strong relationship-building skills and a collaborative mindset.
Experience working with leadership across multiple product and engineering areas.
Proven ability to lead technical designs and implement scalable, adaptable systems.
Expertise in professional software engineering practices, including coding standards, code reviews, source control, build processes, testing, and operations.
Technical Skills:
- Java-based technologies
- Microservices architecture
- Cloud-native and distributed computing
Experience delivering products using cloud infrastructure.
Familiarity with technologies such as:
- Java, Amazon Web Services (AWS), Spring Boot, Kotlin, React.js
- REST, GraphQL, Cucumber, Selenium
- Docker, Kubernetes, Git, Jenkins
- Kibana, Datadog
