You’ll work in a collaborative, globally distributed environment and contribute to the delivery of cutting-edge SAP MDG solutions.


Role Overview

As a Senior Enterprise Technology Engineer (SAP MDG), you will design, implement, and support bp’s Master Data Governance systems. You’ll handle both functional and technical aspects of SAP MDG, customizing workflows, data models, and business rules, while also driving data governance strategies and collaborating with cross-functional teams.


What You Will Deliver

???? Technical Responsibilities

  • Design, develop, and implement SAP MDG solutions

  • Customize MDG workflows, business rules, and data quality processes

  • Integrate MDG with other systems and ensure smooth data flow

  • Perform data loading, scripting, and root cause analysis

  • Conduct code reviews before production deployment

???? Functional Responsibilities

  • Translate business needs into MDG configurations

  • Define and implement data governance standards and policies

  • Develop and manage data migration strategies

  • Establish validation rules and quality criteria

  • Collaborate with business teams to reduce master data defects

  • Support DevOps and end-users on MDG usage

  • Stay updated on industry trends and innovations in data governance


What You Need to Be Successful

???? Required Skills & Qualifications

  • 8+ years’ experience in SAP MDG implementation/configuration

  • Hands-on experience with Customer, Vendor, Material, or Finance domains

  • Strong skills in ABAP, Java, Python, or related programming languages

  • Expertise in DRF, IDOC, ALE, Key & Value Mapping

  • Solid knowledge of data integration (ETL, APIs, web services)

  • Understanding of data quality, data modeling, and transformation

  • Strong problem-solving, communication, and analytical skills

  • Experience collaborating across business and technical teams

???? Education

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or equivalent

  • Master’s degree in Computer Science is a plus


Preferred/Bonus Skills

  • SAP MDG Certification

  • SAP Fiori, UI5, OData knowledge

  • Experience with Enterprise Asset Management (EAM)

  • Exposure to large-scale SAP ERP migrations

  • Project management experience

  • Background in regulated industries (energy, finance, manufacturing)
