About the Role

We are hiring a Senior Engineering Manager to join our growing R&D team in India. You will lead and scale multiple engineering teams responsible for delivering cloud and self-managed products across different product areas at HashiCorp.

This role requires a strategic mindset, deep technical expertise, and strong leadership skills to navigate rapid growth while maintaining operational excellence.

Key Responsibilities

✅ Leadership & Mentorship – Lead and mentor multiple engineering teams, fostering professional growth and high-performance execution.
✅ Product Roadmap Execution – Drive the development and delivery of cloud and self-managed product offerings.
✅ Reliability & Security – Ensure products are scalable, reliable, and secure, adhering to best engineering practices.
✅ Culture & Collaboration – Foster a learning-driven culture, improving operational processes, incident management, and developer productivity.
✅ Cross-Functional Partnerships – Work closely with Product Management, Design, Security, Customer Success, and other engineering teams to deliver impactful solutions.
✅ Talent Growth & Hiring – Hire, retain, and develop a diverse and high-performing engineering team in a fast-growing environment.
✅ Operational Excellence – Champion automation, infrastructure enhancements, and platform tooling improvements to reduce developer toil.
✅ Customer Focus – Ensure issues are resolved within SLAs, providing excellent customer experiences.
✅ Technical Leadership – Participate in architecture discussions and technical decisions, with hands-on opportunities in Go and other technologies.

Qualifications & Experience

✔ 15+ years of experience in building products at scale, with 5+ years in leadership roles.
✔ Proven track record in managing multiple engineering teams in a high-growth, distributed environment.
✔ Experience in delivering both SaaS/Cloud services and self-managed software products at scale.
✔ Strong technical background in distributed systems, cloud computing, and infrastructure automation.
✔ Expertise in one or more major cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP).
✔ Passion for operational excellence, automation, and scalable systems.
✔ Experience in hiring, mentoring, and growing high-performing engineering teams.
✔ Strong communication and collaboration skills, thriving in a remote-friendly, transparent environment.
