???? Role Overview: Data Engineer – Technology Business Management

As a Data Engineer in the Technology Business Management team, you’ll design, build, and maintain scalable data solutions that drive strategic decision-making and operational efficiency. This role involves working closely with cross-functional teams to manage large-scale data pipelines and develop innovative solutions using cutting-edge big data tools.

???? Key Responsibilities

Design and develop data engineering solutions using Big Data tools (e.g., MapReduce, Hive, Spark).
Build and maintain data pipelines for large volumes of data.
Develop and manage ETL workflows and data ingestion processes.
Write optimized queries using HQL, SQL, and Spark.
Implement data transformation processes using efficient tools and technologies.
Write and maintain shell scripts and utilize Unix/Linux for job automation.
Manage version control using Git.
Set up and maintain CI/CD pipelines using tools like Jenkins.
Participate in code reviews and ensure software quality.
Troubleshoot, debug, and enhance existing applications and ETL processes.

???? Required Skills & Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field.
Proven experience as a Data Engineer or in a similar technical role.
Strong proficiency in object-oriented programming with Python and PySpark APIs.
Solid understanding of ETL design principles, HQL/SQL, and data modeling.
Experience with Big Data ecosystems and technologies.
Familiarity with version control systems (Git) and CI/CD tools (Jenkins).
Working knowledge of Unix/Linux and Shell scripting.
Knowledge of cloud platforms, especially Google Cloud Platform (GCP), is a plus.
Strong analytical, problem-solving, communication, and collaboration skills.
