Job Description

We are seeking enthusiastic, dedicated, and experienced Homeroom Teachers for Grades 1 and 2 who are passionate about early childhood education. The ideal candidate will foster a nurturing and engaging classroom environment that supports the academic, emotional, and social development of young learners. Homeroom teachers will be responsible for teaching core subjects including English, Math, Science, and Social Studies, while building a strong sense of community within the classroom.

Key Responsibilities

Plan and deliver age-appropriate, engaging, and differentiated lessons in core subjects.
Create a safe, inclusive, and positive classroom environment to support holistic child development.
Integrate technology, storytelling, play-based, and inquiry-based learning into instruction.
Monitor and assess student progress through both formative and summative assessments.
Maintain regular communication with parents/guardians through meetings, reports, and updates.
Collaborate with colleagues and support staff to enrich student learning experiences.
Prepare and maintain student portfolios, report cards, and other academic records.
Participate actively in school events, professional development, and planning sessions.
Uphold school values, code of conduct, and all institutional policies.

Qualifications and Requirements

Bachelor’s degree in Education (B.Ed) or equivalent (specialization in Early Childhood, Primary Education, or Montessori preferred).
Minimum of 2 years' teaching experience at the primary level, ideally as a homeroom/class teacher in a reputed school.
Deep understanding of child development and early years curriculum.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English.
Strong classroom management and organizational skills.
Passionate about teaching and committed to student-centered learning.
Familiarity with 21st-century teaching strategies and digital tools (e.g., smart boards, educational apps) is an advantage.
Warm, approachable demeanor with the ability to build strong student and parent relationships.
